Challenge
Along with the design of trading platform and mobile app, trading.com was preparing the pre-launch campaign for users to join the waitlist and get a bonus to trade when the platform was officially open. While i was working on the design of the web platform and mobile app, i was also given this to design using the existing components from the products design system and adapting accordingly. The design system was already in progress from the marketing and branding team and i used existing or created new components in the design system to accomodate this campaign.
Process
Together with the CMO, designers, content, and engineering teams we clarified the objective of this project: to provide the same initial engagement to the users like the one that the platform was on track to provide. showcase a minimal platform that can be used from amateur and advanced traders from all sorts of ages for a simple and unique trading experience.
I audited platform components and defined what to extend or create.
I worked with designers and external motion design agency to iterate on the layout, visuals and direction.
I provided feedback and assets to the motion design agency to make sure the videos were consistent with the brand guidelines.
I worked together with developers to provide specs and direction regarding the interactivity of the page.
Outcome
The campaign was embraced highly by the management team and launched before the product launch with high engagment and traction on social media. This set the way to the official product launch a few months later while building a customer base using the bonus incentive.

Reflections
Keeping marketing and product teams on the same design rails made every touchpoint feel intentional. The biggest win was treating marketing design system as an extension of the product design system rather than a separate brand.
